Why is Emergency First Aid At Work Training Required?
Emergency First Aid At Work training is proven to be a significant factor in accident prevention, and beneficial in aiding accident victims. By training people within the workplace they become prepared for unexpected accidents and emergencies.
‘The Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations 1981 require employers to provide adequate and appropriate equipment, facilities and personnel to ensure their employees receive immediate attention if they are injured or taken ill at work. These Regulations apply to all workplaces including those with less than five employees and to the self-employed.’- HSE
The training is provided in accordance with Tthe Health & Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981.
Emergency First Aid Training Contents:
How to respond to an emergency in any working environment or emergency situation. This includes how to perform CPR, treat different types of wounds and when to call the emergency services.
The First Aid Training course includes a 30 question multiple choice test and a printable certificate.
The course covers:
- Outline the First Aiders roles and responsibilities.
- How to calmly respond when in a fight or flight situation.
- CPR, Recovery Position
- Treating victims with different ailments including electric shock.
- When and how to call for help
Certification
This course has been accredited by the CPD Certification Service as conforming to universally accepted Continuous Professional Development (CPD) guidelines.
